What is CBD Isolate?
For many of us, the idea of what CBD actually is can
be tough work. We can spend so much time going around in circles, reading
information and counter-information, to only find out that we know even less
than we did before we started!
If that sounds like a concern to you, then might we
recommend that you take a look at our new and growing knowledge base? Today,
we’re tackling a very important topic regarding CBD. And that is…what is CBD
Isolate?
With so many terms to wrestle with and understand, it can be
tough to know what you are buying. When it comes to CBD products, one thing you
will probably notice is that two terms come up: Full Spectrum and
CBD Isolate. Let’s take a look at what this means to you, and why it
matters.
What is CBD Isolate?
So, CBD Isolate is known as the ‘purest form’ of CBD that
can occur naturally. This means that will be as much a 99.9% CBD. It’s
sometimes known as CBD Crystals, as most forms of CBD Isolate start out in a
kind of crystalline formation and shape. They tend to be like a diamond in
shape – though not quite as valuable, sadly!
To make CBD Isolate products, such as a powder, it’s then
crushed from its crystalline form into something a touch easier to take in and
digest. Like just about any other kind of CBD oil product, most forms of CBD
Isolate will stem from the creation through a filtered hemp plant extract.
Most of the time, this allows for the best possible form of
CBD to be made; a pure, clean solution that comes without anything else
included. Just CBD, and CBD in arguably the finest form that it comes available
in.
Is CBD Isolate always only CBD?
While the name CBD Isolate should mean that you get
only CBD, sometimes other goodies can make their way – albeit only in the most
miniscule, trace amounts. It’s common for other cannabinoids, flavonoids, and
terpenes to make their way through the system and into your CBD Isolate
product. Again, though; you are talking about the most miniscule, arguably
non-important amounts possible.
While Full Spectrum CBD contains more than just basic CBD,
CBD Isolate looks to cut out absolutely everything else. Full Spectrum CBD will
intentionally include extras, including around 0.03% THC. With CBD Isolate, it
is not the intention whatsoever for anything else other than CBD to make it
through to the final mix.
Most of the time, you should be looking out for any signs of
things like CBN, CBDV, THCV, and CBG to come through into an Isolate product.
Buy from the right source, though, and all but the most miniscule trace amounts
will get through.
As such, since the content of any other parts of CBD/THC are
so low, the idea of any kind of psychotropic impact coming from any CBD Isolate
product is almost impossible. If you are looking for something that you can
more or less 100% guarantee is free of anything bar CBD, then, be sure to look
at CBD Isolate!
